Description

Original 1858 billhead from Conant, Elden & Woods, prominent Boston importers and jobbers of dry goods, located at 15 & 17 Pearl Street near Milk Street. This invoice is dated November 19, 1858, and is made out to E. P. Treat & Co. for a wholesale purchase of various textile goods.

– Includes detailed list of fabric types: Manchester Print, Slaters grid, Alek, Pacific, Ducks, Cocheco, Ruby, English Flowy, Columbia Bro. Cotton, and more
– Handwritten entries with quantities, unit prices, and total amount of $132.12
– Measures approximately 14” tall by 8.25” wide
– Signed and noted “Examined and correct” in December 1858
– Excellent historical content reflecting mid-19th-century textile trade in Boston

Condition

This antique billhead is in good condition. It has no tears, but it has some creases, edge wear, and light stains. It also has a note on the outside apparently written in ink in 1965. Please review the included photos of the actual item to make a complete determination of its condition.
