Original program from the Boston Music Hall for the week of January 27, 1902. This 18-page booklet features ornate cover art, extensive advertisements, and a complete listing of vaudeville acts and early film presentations. The highlight is an American Vitagraph pantomime production of “Blue Beard,” an early motion picture attraction. Performers include Blanche Ring, Richard Carle, La Veen and Cross, Jacklin and Ingram, Al Coleman, Grant and Ray, Eldora and Norine, with stage direction by Louis De Lange. Blanche Ring is notable for introducing “In the Good Old Summertime” in 1902, making this program contemporary with her rise to fame. A scarce example of Boston theater ephemera showing the transition from live stage performance to early cinema.
