This lot is a complete c.1950s United States Armed Forces Reserve Medal produced by Daniel Smilo & Sons, Inc. of New York. The medal was authorized by Executive Order 10163 on September 25, 1950, and awarded to members of the U.S. Armed Forces Reserve who completed ten years of honorable service. The bronze medal features three crossed bugles with a torch at center surrounded by stars, and the reverse bears the words “Armed Forces Reserve” with an eagle at center. It retains its original gold and blue ribbon and comes in the original blue Daniel Smilo & Sons presentation box with the correct stock label (No. 8380-NL) on the side.
