Authorized in 1950, the U.S. Armed Forces Reserve Medal honors members of the Reserve components for ten years of honorable and satisfactory service. This early full-size example features the original gold and blue ribbon with slot brooch suspension, and a bronze medal depicting a flaming torch, bugle, and cannon surrounded by thirteen stars. The reverse bears the eagle with crossed fasces and the inscription “ARMED FORCES RESERVE.”
