The Veldt is an alternative rock band known for their distinctive blend of dream pop, shoegaze, and soulful elements. Originally formed in Raleigh, North Carolina, in the late 1980s, the band consists of identical twins Daniel and Danny Chavis. The Veldt’s music is characterized by ethereal guitar textures, lush atmospheres, and Daniel’s soulful vocals. They gained recognition with their early EPs and debut album, “Marigolds” (1992), which featured their innovative sound. Despite facing challenges in the shifting music industry, The Veldt has continued to create music over the years, maintaining a dedicated fan base and evolving their sonic palette.
