7 Year Bitch was a pioneering all-female punk rock band hailing from Seattle, Washington. Formed in 1990, the band comprised Selene Vigil-Wilk on vocals, Stefanie Sargent on guitar, Elizabeth Davis on bass, and Valerie Agnew on drums. Known for their raw and powerful sound, 7 Year Bitch played a vital role in the Riot Grrrl movement, addressing feminist and social issues in their lyrics. Sadly, the band’s trajectory was cut short by the tragic death of guitarist Stefanie Sargent in 1992. Despite this setback, 7 Year Bitch continued to make music, releasing albums like “¡Viva Zapata!” and leaving an indelible mark on the punk and alternative music scenes with their fierce energy and uncompromising attitude.
