Description

This lot is an advertising catalog produced in 1967 for H. M. J. Fur Company in New York City. HMJ was one of the leading companies in New York City’s thriving fur district. The lot includes four pieces. The first is a multi-page foldout catalog with numerous pictures of coats, collars, hats, and other accessories. It is 8.5″ tall by 5.5″ wide when closed and 17″ tall by 22″ wide when fully unfolded. It’s printed on both sides and has 33 photos. The second piece is a two-sided 8.5″x11″ page advertising fur restoration services on one side and explaining the details of the company’s mail-order business on the other side. The last piece is a 3.5″x6″ mailing envelope with the company’s address preprinted on the front. The envelope contains an unused copy of the order blank which a customer would return with a deposit. The order blank is approximately 5.5″ tall by 8.5″ wide when unfolded.
