This is an antique brass livery button made by Scovill Mfg. Co. of Waterbury, Connecticut. Measuring 16mm in diameter, it features an ornate raised monogram “C” within a shield motif. The backmark reads “SCOVILL MFG CO. WATERBURY,” consistent with buttons manufactured between 1890 and 1920. A great example of period livery or service uniform buttons, this piece is ideal for collectors of early American buttons or historical uniform elements.
