This c.1890s U.S. Navy officer’s uniform button features a raised eagle perched on an anchor above cannonballs and surrounded by stars, with a bright gilt finish and rope border. The backmark reads SUPERIOR QUALITY, typical of privately purchased officer buttons from the late 19th to early 20th century. A fine example of early U.S. naval insignia.
