Original mid-19th century U.S. Army general service cuff button featuring the iconic eagle with arrows and olive branch, surrounded by stars. This gilt brass button was made by Horstmann of Philadelphia and likely dates from the Civil War through early Indian Wars period. It measures 14mm and is in very good condition with a strong backmark and intact shank.
