Civil War Era Scovill U.S. Infantry Officer Button “I” Eagle Brass 22mm Shank

Original Civil War–era U.S. Infantry officer’s button manufactured by Scovill Mfg. Co. of Waterbury, Connecticut. The face features a spread-wing eagle with a shield bearing the letter “I” for Infantry. This is a one-piece, gilt brass button with a loop shank and clearly marked back.
