Original 19th-century U.S. Navy officer’s uniform button featuring a high-relief eagle perched on an anchor, surrounded by 13 stars. This domed gilt brass button dates to the 1840s–1850s and was manufactured by Horstmann of Philadelphia, a well-known military outfitter.
