Original 1805 court certification document from Loudoun County, Virginia, dated April 10, 1805. This handwritten record confirms the legal proof and recording of a deed by three subscribing witnesses: Middleton, Samuel Hough, and Andrew Matthews. It is signed by Charles Binns, who served as Clerk of the Court in Loudoun County from 1799 to 1837 and was a significant figure in the administration of early Virginia law.
The document reads:
“At a Court held for Loudoun County April 10th 1805
This Deed was proved by the Oaths of Middleton, Samuel Hough & Andrew Matthews the subscribing Witnesses thereto & Ordered to be Recorded
