Original 1890s Victorian die-cut Valentine’s Day card featuring a layered chromolithograph design with gilt accents. The card shows a young woman holding a fan surrounded by pink and red flowers and blue morning glories, with a small envelope at the lower right corner revealing a hidden printed note that begins “St. Valentine, U.S.A., Feb. 14th.” The reverse bears an embossed floral pattern and a handwritten inscription “from Bertha to Miss Duches.” The original cardboard stand has been lost, but the front retains excellent color and depth typical of late 19th-century romantic paper ephemera.
