Original circa 1911 Pan Handle Scrap Heroes of History Series tobacco card featuring Oliver Hazard Perry, identified on the front as the Hero of Lake Erie. This early American Tobacco Company non-sport issue combines portraiture, biography, and tobacco advertising, making it a solid crossover piece for collectors of vintage tobacco cards, communications history, and historical figure memorabilia.
NOTE: This is one of the best condition cards in this set that I have seen. It has been kept in a shoebox since the early 1900s when it was first collected.
