1940s Christmas Santa Claus Department Store Photo Leonard Weisgard Illustration

This lot is a vintage photo of a department store Santa Claus with a 5-year-old boy on his lap. The photo is housed in a Santa and Me folio from an unknown location. The front of the folio was illustrated by the well-known children’s book artist, Leonard Weisgard. The illustration shows a large teddy bear, a toy train and other gifts along with Christmas tree boughs and ornaments. The photo is approximately 7″ tall by 5″ wide and its folio is approximately 8.25″ tall by 6.5″ wide.
