Maureen O’Hara (1920–2015) was an Irish-American actress known for her fiery red hair, strong-willed characters, and magnetic screen presence. Rising to fame in the 1940s and 1950s, she starred in a variety of genres, from adventure films like The Black Swan (1942) to Westerns such as Rio Grande (1950), often opposite John Wayne, with whom she formed a famous on-screen partnership. O’Hara was particularly renowned for her roles in director John Ford’s films, including the classic The Quiet Man (1952), where she showcased both her dramatic and comedic talents.
