Steelheart is an American rock band formed in Norwalk, Connecticut, in 1989. Led by vocalist Miljenko Matijevic, the band gained notable success in the early 1990s with their self-titled debut album, featuring the power ballad “I’ll Never Let You Go (Angel Eyes).” Known for Matijevic’s impressive vocal range and the band’s glam metal sound, Steelheart’s music was characterized by anthemic choruses and emotive performances. Despite facing challenges in the grunge-dominated musical landscape of the early ’90s, Steelheart left a mark with their energetic stage presence and melodic rock tunes.
