The Dentists were a British indie rock band that emerged in the 1980s. Hailing from the town of Medway, Kent, the band showcased a jangly and melodic guitar-driven sound reminiscent of the ’60s and ’80s alternative rock. Led by the distinctive vocals of Mick Murphy, The Dentists combined catchy hooks, shimmering guitars, and clever songwriting to create their own brand of infectious indie pop. Their music was characterized by a mix of upbeat and bittersweet songs, often exploring themes of love, relationships, and everyday experiences.
