Description

Original 1935 vintage black and white glossy photo postcard featuring Serge Bissi and his wife. Unfortunately, her signed name is indecipherable. This professionally captured portrait was taken by Armand, Paris, and is hand-signed on the reverse with the date 23 May 1935. By the end of the 1940s, Bissi had changed careers to become a painter and went on to gain worldwide acclaim with his art.

The back includes the signature, date, and the contact details for G. Akiba, a theatrical impresario in Paris, as well as an address in Anderlecht, Brussels—suggesting the duo performed in both France and Belgium.

– Date: 1935
– Size: 4.5 x 3.5 inches
– Photographer: Armand, Paris
– Features: Hand-signed, dated, and inscribed
– It appears that the postcard has been trimmed

An excellent addition for collectors of vintage theatrical memorabilia, signed photos, or European performance history ephemera.

Condition

This vintage RPPC is in good condition with no creases or tears; however, it appears that it is trimmed. It has light edge wear, smudges, and toning. Please review the included photos of the actual item to make a complete determination of its condition.
