This lot is an original 1878 U.S. Internal Revenue Distillery Warehouse Stamp featuring a finely engraved portrait of President Zachary Taylor. Serial number R9759860 printed in bronze. Issued under the Series of 1878 to document the legal storage of proof spirits in a bonded government warehouse under federal tax law.
