Rare Vintage French Oxidized Foil Glass Necklace Rousselet Style Filigree 1950s

This rare vintage French necklace is a showstopping example of mid-century artisan craftsmanship. Attributed to the style of Louis Rousselet, it features large, hand-formed foil art glass beads with exposed silver foil that has oxidized naturally to reveal stunning blue and purple iridescence. In some areas, the oxidation has flaked to reveal warm, earthy foil tones — a hallmark of intentional studio design.

Each primary bead is capped with ornate bronze-tone filigree overlays, paired with faceted amber and clear glass spacers and sparkling rhinestone rondelles. The piece is hand-wired and finished with a classic hook clasp and a beaded extender tail — all indicative of high-end French studio construction from the 1940s–1950s.
