Description
This c.1950s Italian military long-service medal awarded for command (“Al Merito di Lungo Comando”) is a full size bronze circular decoration with 35 mm diameter attached to the original blue-and-white vertically striped ribbon measuring 36 mm wide. The obverse shows the legend AL MERITO DI LUNGO COMANDO surrounding a profile bust, while the reverse features a stylised gladius within a laurel wreath. The medal’s total height including ribbon is 82 mm.

Condition
