Description
This original 1972 George Wallace presidential campaign button was produced by the A.G. Trimble Company of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The 1.5-inch lithographed celluloid pin features a stylized pop-art portrait of Wallace in orange and purple with a bright green circle and bold white lettering. Issued by the Wallace Campaign Committee during his 1972 run as a Democrat. His campaign was cut short after he was seriously wounded in an assassination attempt in May 1972.
