Prev Next

Ron Mix, born on March 10, 1938, in Los Angeles, California, is a former professional American football player who excelled as an offensive tackle in the National Football League (NFL). Mix played college football at the University of Southern California before being selected by the Baltimore Colts in the 1960 NFL Draft. However, he spent the majority of his career with the San Diego Chargers, where he became one of the premier offensive linemen of his time. Mix was known for his exceptional technique, agility, and strength, which made him a dominant force in pass protection and run blocking. He was an integral part of the Chargers’ high-powered offense and helped lead the team to five American Football League (AFL) championship games, winning the AFL title in 1963. Mix was selected to the AFL All-Star team nine times and was a seven-time All-Pro.

This lot is a Ron Mix rookie football card #118 produced by Fleer in 1960.

If the title includes a reference to condition, it is based on the same standards of grading as the professional grading companies. If the condition is shown as a range, we are saying that, in our opinion, the card would receive a grade somewhere within that range.
