Allie Reynolds was an American professional baseball player who played as a pitcher in Major League Baseball (MLB) from 1942 to 1954. Reynolds played for the Cleveland Indians and the New York Yankees during his career, and was a key part of several championship teams. He won six World Series championships during his time with the Yankees, and was a five-time All-Star. Reynolds was known for his powerful fastball and his ability to pitch under pressure, and he was particularly effective in the postseason, where he had a 7-2 record with a 2.79 ERA. He also threw two no-hitters during his career. After retiring as a player, Reynolds became a coach and a broadcaster, and was widely respected in the baseball community for his knowledge and passion for the game. He passed away in 1994 at the age of 77.
