Prev Next

Charlie Dressen, born on September 20, 1894, in Decatur, Indiana, was a former professional baseball player and manager who had a successful career in Major League Baseball (MLB). Dressen played as an infielder for several teams from 1925 to 1933 before transitioning into managing. He is best known for his managerial tenure with the Brooklyn Dodgers from 1951 to 1953. Dressen guided the Dodgers to two National League pennants during his time at the helm, narrowly missing out on a World Series title in both 1952 and 1953.

This lot is a Charlie Dressen baseball card #124 produced by Bowman in 1953.

If the title includes a reference to condition, it is based on the same standards of grading as the professional grading companies. If the condition is shown as a range, we are saying that, in our opinion, the card would receive a grade somewhere within that range.
