The Chicago Cardinals were a professional American football team that played in the National Football League (NFL) from 1920 to 1959. The team was founded in 1898 as the Morgan Athletic Club in Chicago, and it became one of the founding members of the NFL in 1920. The Cardinals played their home games at Comiskey Park in Chicago until 1959, when the team moved to St. Louis, Missouri, and became the St. Louis Cardinals. The Cardinals won two NFL championships during their time in Chicago, in 1925 and 1947. The team was known for having several notable players, including Hall of Famers Paddy Driscoll, Ernie Nevers, and Charley Trippi. After the team moved to St. Louis, it eventually relocated again in 1988 to become the Arizona Cardinals, which is the team’s current name and location.
This lot is a Chicago Cardinals team photo football card #22 produced by Topps in 1956.
If the title includes a reference to condition, it is based on the same standards of grading as the professional grading companies. If the condition is shown as a range, we are saying that, in our opinion, the card would receive a grade somewhere within that range.
This card has wear appropriate to its age. It has a very light line across its mid-section probably left by a rubber band. May have corner bumps, edge wear, scuffs, stains, smudges, scratches, or dirt. Please review the included photos of the actual item to make a complete determination of its condition.
