Connie Ryan was a professional baseball player who played in the Major Leagues from 1942 to 1954. He was born on February 1, 1920, in New Orleans, Louisiana. Ryan played primarily as a second baseman, although he also played some shortstop and third base during his career. He began his career with the Boston Braves and also played for the Cincinnati Reds, Philadelphia Phillies, and Milwaukee Braves. Ryan was known for his strong defensive skills, particularly his ability to turn double plays. He finished his career with a .256 batting average, 32 home runs, and 415 RBIs. This lot is a Connie Ryan baseball card #131 produced by Bowman in 1953. If the title includes a reference to condition, it is based on the same standards of grading as the professional grading companies. If the condition is shown as a range, we are saying that, in our opinion, the card would receive a grade somewhere within that range.
