Eddie Murray, born on February 24, 1956, in Los Angeles, California, is a former professional baseball player who enjoyed a highly successful career in Major League Baseball. Murray was a first baseman and designated hitter known for his consistent hitting, power, and exceptional defensive skills. He played for several teams throughout his 21-year career, most notably the Baltimore Orioles, where he spent the majority of his career from 1977 to 1988 and again in 1996. Murray was a switch-hitter, capable of delivering impactful hits from both sides of the plate. He amassed over 3,000 hits and hit 504 home runs in his career. Murray was a key contributor to the Orioles’ success, helping them win the World Series in 1983. He was a three-time Gold Glove winner and a three-time Silver Slugger award recipient. He was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 2003. This lot is an Eddie Murray baseball card #36 produced by Topps in 1978. If the title includes a reference to condition, it is based on the same standards of grading as the professional grading companies. If the condition is shown as a range, we are saying that, in our opinion, the card would receive a grade somewhere within that range.
This card has wear appropriate to its age. It has a couple small very minor indent dimples on the front. May have corner bumps and edge wear as well as light scuffs or smudges. Please review the included photos of the actual item to make a complete determination of its condition.
