Ernie Banks, affectionately known as “Mr. Cub,” was a beloved and influential figure in professional baseball. Born on January 31, 1931, in Dallas, Texas, Banks had an exceptional career as a shortstop and first baseman for the Chicago Cubs from 1953 to 1971. He was a true ambassador of the game, known for his infectious enthusiasm and unwavering positivity. Banks’ remarkable talent and charisma made him a fan favorite and an inspiration to many. He was a 14-time All-Star and a two-time National League MVP, becoming the first player in Cubs history to win the prestigious award. Banks possessed tremendous power, hitting over 500 home runs in his career. He was also a skilled fielder, earning a reputation for his defensive prowess. He was inducted into the Major League Baseball Hall of Fame in 1977. This lot is an Ernie Banks baseball card #350 produced by Topps in 1961. If the title includes a reference to condition, it is based on the same standards of grading as the professional grading companies. If the condition is shown as a range, we are saying that, in our opinion, the card would receive a grade somewhere within that range.

This vintage card has wear appropriate to its age. It has some surface wear which has lessened the glossiness. May have scuffs, edge wear, bumped corners, light stains, or may be off-center. Please review the included photos of the actual items to make a complete determination of their condition.
