Mickey Mantle’s 565-foot home run is the stuff of legend in the world of baseball. This monstrous blast took place on September 10, 1960, during a game between the New York Yankees and the Detroit Tigers at Briggs Stadium (now known as Tiger Stadium). With a swing of his bat, Mantle sent the baseball soaring high and deep, sailing over the center field fence and into a far-off section of the stadium. This incredible feat of power and distance still stands as one of the longest home runs in the history of the game.
This lot is a Mickey Mantle 1953 Home Run Commemorative insert baseball card #406 produced by Topps in 1961.
