Mickey Mantle’s 565-foot home run is the stuff of legend in the world of baseball. This monstrous blast took place on September 10, 1960, during a game between the New York Yankees and the Detroit Tigers at Briggs Stadium (now known as Tiger Stadium). With a swing of his bat, Mantle sent the baseball soaring high and deep, sailing over the center field fence and into a far-off section of the stadium. This incredible feat of power and distance still stands as one of the longest home runs in the history of the game. This lot is a Mickey Mantle 1953 Home Run Commemorative insert baseball card #406 produced by Topps in 1961. If the title includes a reference to condition, it is based on the same standards of grading as the professional grading companies. If the condition is shown as a range, we are saying that, in our opinion, the card would receive a grade somewhere within that range. Â
This vintage card has wear appropriate to its age. It has a stain along the top edge. May have scuffs, edge wear, bumped corners, light stains, or may be off-center. Please review the included photos of the actual items to make a complete determination of their condition.
