Prev Next

Nelson Fox, born on December 25, 1927, was a highly regarded Major League Baseball second baseman who played the majority of his career with the Chicago White Sox. Known for his exceptional defensive skills and scrappy playing style, Fox was a key figure in the success of the White Sox during the 1950s and 1960s. He was a consistent hitter, known for his ability to make contact and get on base. Fox’s speed and baserunning skills made him a threat on the basepaths, and he led the American League in stolen bases multiple times. He was a twelve-time All-Star and won the American League Most Valuable Player (MVP) Award in 1959.

This lot is a Nelson Fox baseball card #6 produced by Bowman in 1954.
