Phil Rizzuto, born on September 25, 1917, in Brooklyn, New York, was a highly respected and beloved professional baseball player and broadcaster. Rizzuto played his entire 13-year career (1941-1956) as a shortstop for the New York Yankees. Despite his diminutive stature, Rizzuto possessed exceptional defensive skills and was known for his quickness, agility, and strong arm. He was a key contributor to the Yankees’ success, helping the team win seven World Series championships. Rizzuto was a five-time All-Star and won the American League MVP award in 1950. He was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1994. This lot is a Phil Rizzuto baseball card #17 produced by Topps in 1954. If the title includes a reference to condition, it is based on the same standards of grading as the professional grading companies. If the condition is shown as a range, we are saying that, in our opinion, the card would receive a grade somewhere within that range.

This card has wear appropriate to its age. It has a tiny wrinkle in the upper right corner. May have corner bumps, edge wear, scuffs, stains, or smudges. Please review the included photos of the actual item to make a complete determination of its condition.
