In his rookie season, Trammell played in 109 games, hitting .268 with seven home runs and 27 RBIs. He also displayed great speed on the basepaths, stealing 14 bases.
Paul Molitor also had an exceptional rookie season in Major League Baseball. Making his debut with the Milwaukee Brewers in 1978, Molitor immediately displayed his remarkable skills and versatility on the field. Playing primarily as a designated hitter and occasionally at third base and second base, Molitor showcased his exceptional hitting ability. In his rookie year, he batted .273 with 7 home runs, 71 RBIs, and an impressive 30 stolen bases.
