Wilt Chamberlain, born on August 21, 1936, was an extraordinary American professional basketball player who left an indelible mark on the sport. Standing at an imposing 7 feet 1 inch tall, Chamberlain dominated the game with his unmatched athleticism and incredible scoring ability. He played for several teams throughout his career, including the Philadelphia/San Francisco Warriors, Philadelphia 76ers, and Los Angeles Lakers. Chamberlain’s accomplishments are numerous and awe-inspiring. He holds numerous records, including scoring an incredible 100 points in a single game, a feat that remains unmatched to this day. Chamberlain was a prolific rebounder and shot-blocker, known for his imposing presence in the paint. He was a dominant force, winning four regular-season MVP awards and two NBA championships.
This lot is a Western Semis NBA basketball card #64 produced by Topps in 1973. The Los Angeles Lakers beat the Chicago Bulls in that game and the card features the Lakers’ Wilt Chamberlain dunking the ball.
