The Kreiss Company was a renowned American manufacturer of high-end home furnishings, known for their handcrafted and high-quality furniture, sold in exclusive stores across the country. Founded in 1939, they produced a range of products, including sofas, chairs, tables, lamps, and other home decor items. Their reputation was built on their attention to detail, craftsmanship, and the use of high-quality materials. Despite their significant contributions to the luxury furniture market, the company stopped operations in the mid-2000s.
This ceramic bank was produced in the 1950s by the Kreiss Co. It shows a whimsical scene of a small boy in blue pajamas gazing up at a pair of green and red stockings hanging on a fireplace. The bank is complete with a stopper on the bottom. It is approximately 6″ tall by 4.5″ wide by 2.75″ deep.
This ceramic bank is in good condition with signs of wear appropriate to its age. It doesn’t have any cracks or crazing. It has one small chip in the base on the back and a tiny dot of lost paint on the top of the right stocking. Please review the included photos of the actual item to make a complete determination of its condition.
