1934 Fostoria (Ohio) Industrial Corp “One Dollar in Cash” Depression Era Scrip
Prev Next

This lot is a used and cancelled scrip certificate issued by the Fostoria (Ohio) Industrial Corporation in the 1930s. Bearers of the scrip certificate had to get three F. I. C. stickers, presumably by patronizing businesses in the F. I. C. This strategy was one way to help struggling consumers greatly affected by the Depression. The perforated initials (see photos) indicate this certificate was paid on October 22, 1934.

The scrip certificate is approximately 3.5″ tall by 7″ wide.

All our items are kept in a smoke-free and pet-free environment.

This vintage scrip certificate is in good condition. It has light creases and wrinkles, smudges, stains, edge wear, and toning. Please review the included photos of the actual item to make a complete determination of its condition.
