This lot is a letter sent in 1899 from Louis Miller in New York City. Louis Miller served as the business representative for the musical play “The Sunshine of Paradise Alley” during the late 19th century. His wife, Phila May, was a performer in the production and a member of the Verdi Quartet which also performed in the show. The letter is written to send with a contract to someone who had booked the show for October 6, 1900.

The handwritten letter is on The Sunshine of Paradise Alley promotional letterhead and is approximately 11″ tall by 8.5″ wide. It is hand-signed by Louis Miller. This letterhead is extremely scarce.
