This lot is a letter sent from Elmer Walters, well-known vaudeville show promoter and producer, to H. E. Perkins, the manager of the Sturgis Opera House in Sturgis, South Dakota. The letter informs Perkins that Walters is cancelling scheduled performances of “How Hopper Was Side-Tracked” due to its poor financial performance at other venues.

The letter is on Elmer Walters’ Successful Enterprises (somewhat ironic) letterhead and is approximately 11″ tall by 8.5″ wide. it is hand-signed by Elmer Walters.
