1906 Keeney Stock Company Performance Request Letters to Sturgis South Dakota
Prev Next

This lot is a pair of letters sent from the Keeney Stock Company to N. E. Perkins, presumably the manager of a theatre in Sturgis, South Dakota. The letters are related to performances that the Keeney agency would provide. The first letter, dated February 1, 1906, asks if the week of November 12 of that year was available for a performing group. Apparently, the timing worked out, because the second letter, dated November 5, 1906, was from Keeney agent, Charles B. Ayers. He states that he has enclosed the press notices and encourages Perkins to push the show and get the notices to the papers.

The two letters are on different Keeney letterheads and are approximately 11″ tall by 8.5″ wide.

All our items are kept in a smoke-free and pet-free environment.
