This lot is a letter sent in 1953 from Leo Freedman, reknowned press representative for Leland Hayward and Joshua Logan. He represented numerous Broadway shows but was especially known for representing “Wish You Were Here”, a musical comedy the featured a full-sized swimming pool onstage. In the letter, Freedman tells Lawrence Berliner that he cannot “take care” of him for “Picnic” and “Wish You Were Here.” Most likely it was a response to a request for complimentary tickets.
The typed letter is on Wish You Were Here letterhead and is approximately 11″ tall by 8.5″ wide. It is hand-signed by Leo Freedman. This letterhead is extremely scarce.
