This lot is a printed restaurant menu from the L-K Family Restaurant. The menu is from 1978 and was prepared for restaurant patrons who came on New Year’s Day. It includes an interesting paragraph encouraging people to say grace before they eat if they want to. The menu is extremely scarce. This four-panel, folded paper menu is approximately 8.5″ tall by 5.5″ wide.
L-K is a mostly forgotten chain of motels and restaurants that existed from the late 1940s to 1989. L-K was founded by Cleo R. Ludwig and Robert Kibbey with the first location opened in Marion, Ohio. The chain had over 150 locations at its peak. The chain was owned by Consolidated Food Corporation between 1969 and 1986, before being sold back to the Ludwig family. In 1989, L-K sold off its remaining locations.
