1946 Nellie Bly With William Gaxton and Victor Moore Adelphi Theatre Playbill

This lot is a vintage multi-page booklet promoting the Broadway play “Nellie Bly” at the Adelphi Theatre in New York City in 1946. It starred William Gaxton as Frank Jordan and Victor Moore as Phineas T. Fogarty, with Benay Venuta playing a character called “Battle Annie,” who was particularly memorable in the production. Although the show featured this talented cast, it was not successful and closed after only 16 performances.

The playbill is 9″ tall by 6.5″ wide and has 24 pages.

This vintage booklet is in very good condition. The cover has some light stains and wrinkles. The stapled spine is still solid.
