1955 Michigan Wolverines and Northwestern Football Program With Famous Players

This lot is a vintage sports program from the University of Michigan Wolverines in Ann Arbor, Michigan. The game was played against the Wildcats of Northwestern University on October 15, 1955. The program is 12″ tall by 9″ wide and is complete with all the pages.

The University of Michigan has had numerous famous alumni who succeeded as professional athletes. Two players stand out from the 1955 squad. They are:

  • Terry Barr – After graduation, Barr played in the NFL for the Detroit Lions from 1957 to 1965. He was a two-time Pro Bowl selection in 1963 and 1964.
  • Ron Kramer – After graduation, Kramer played in the NFL as a tight end with the Green Bay Packers from 1957-1964 and the Detroit Lions from 1965-1967. He won NFL Championships with the Green Bay Packers in 1961 and 1962 under legendary coach, Vince Lombardi. He was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in 1978 and was also named to the Green Bay Packers Hall of Fame.
