1980s Richard’s Almanac Newsletter Close-Up Magic with Coins and Cards Lot of 8

This lot is a group of 8 different issues of the Richard’s Almanac magic newsletter written, illustrated, and published by Richard Kaufman in the 1980s. It ran for 36 issues, plus 4 extra issues free for subscribers.¬†Generally, the newsletter included 4-6 tricks by notable magicians, and a news/opinion section entitled “Bull”. The newsletter ran monthly for the first two years, 12 issues plus a Winter and a Summer Extra bonus issue each year. In it’s third year the newsletter became a quarterly, and three of the issues were late. The final issue, intended for Winter 1985, was published in February 1987. The newsletter centered around close-up magic, and as could be expected, most of the items are card or coin tricks. A large variety of contributors wrote for the newsletter including but not limited to Larry Jennings, Jay Sankey, Derek Dingle, Mike Gallo, Bro. John Hamman, J.K Hartman and Geoff Latta.

All the newsletters are in excellent condition with minimal signs of wear. It may have smudges, stains, scuffs, foxing, and small creases or tears, all of which are typical of old paper items. None of the inside pages are torn or creased and none of them have handwriting or highlighting.
