1953 Inscribed Carole Mathews Movie Star Photo Commodore Perry Hotel Toledo Ohio
Prev Next

This lot is a vintage glossy music press photo of the ’50s and ’60s movie and television star, Carole Mathews. The photo is unusual in that it came from the long-closed Commodore Perry Hotel and Restaurant. In its heyday, the 19-story Commodore Perry in Toledo, Ohio was a magnet for glamour and lavish style. It attracted many famous movie, TV, music, and athletic personalities over the years. Many would leave inscribed and/or signed photos which were hung on the walls all around the hotel.

The inscription on the photo reads, “To Melinda, Best of Luck darling, Carole Mathews.” The handwritten words “Commodore Perry” appear in the lower right corner. “Commodore Perry, Feb 9, 1953″ is handwritten on the back of the photo.

Due to its age and the environment in which the photo was kept for many years, it does have significant wear. Please read the condition description and review the photos carefully.

The photo is approximately 8″x10”.

We guarantee that every press photo we sell is original and contemporary with the time it was first taken.

This photo is in good condition for its age and the environment where it came from. It has corner bumps/creases, small scratches and tears, stains, and edge wear. Please review the included photos of the actual item to make a complete determination of its condition.
