Andy McCluskey is a British musician and songwriter best known as the lead vocalist and primary songwriter for the iconic electronic pop band Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark (OMD). With a career spanning several decades, McCluskey played a significant role in the synth-pop movement of the late 1970s and 1980s. His distinctive voice and inventive songwriting, often exploring themes of technology, human relationships, and societal commentary, have made OMD a pioneering force in electronic music. Some of their hits include “Enola Gay,” “Electricity,” and “If You Leave.”
