Though Barking Tribe has classic rock influences like the Stones and the Clash, this Southern band also uses elements of jazz. Vocalist Kerry Pate, guitarist Tim Boykin, bassist Mike Callahan and drummer Skohti Hamilton were signed by Rykodisc; their debut, Serpent Go Home, was released in early 1991.
