Dan Baird is an American rock musician and songwriter who gained prominence as the frontman of the 1980s rock band The Georgia Satellites. Born in 1953, Baird’s gritty vocals and energetic stage presence helped define the band’s Southern rock sound. With hits like “Keep Your Hands to Yourself” and “Battleship Chains,” The Georgia Satellites achieved commercial success and influenced a generation of rock musicians. After the band disbanded, Baird pursued a successful solo career, releasing several albums and continuing to deliver his signature blend of rock, country, and blues.
